The Géotic product licences work under a leasing principle. You must first discharge an activation fee, then an annual leasing fee associated to each licence. The licences are controled by a local or network USB protection key (dongle). The licences give the exclusive right to the client to use the software only for the needs of the division specified on the licence. The software can be installed on an unlimited number of computers, but only the ones with a dongle will be fully functionnal (the other will be in demo mode).
The local dongle must be connected directly to the computer on which you want to use the software. A local dongle can
control one licence of each of the software (for example, a dongle could have a licence of GeoticLog and one of GeoticGraph).
The local dongle is portable; it can be connected to any computer to momentarily activate the software on it. A local dongle
costs $125.
The network dongle must be connected to a server (Windows or Linux) on which a network dongle service will be installed, the computers
on which you want to use the software must have total access (read and write) to a certain directory on the server. A network dongle
can control multiple licences of each of the software (for example, a dongle could have four licences of GeoticLog, two of GeoticGraph,
and one of GeoticCAD). The users can acess the network dongle simultaniously which takes care of momentarily activating the software
according to the number of available licences. The network dongle is obviously not portable, because it must be connected to a server.
A network dongle costs $250.
The activation fee must be discharged at the acquisition of a new licence. However, it's cost depends on the number of licences already acquired in you name. The three software have the save activation fee scaling. It starts at $2000 and reduces of 100$ at each new licence, down to a minimum of $1000.
The activation fee for a studio licence (GeoticLog + GeoticGraph + GeoticCAD) is $5000.
The annual leasing fee must be discharged each year for each of the acquired licences. If it is not discharged befor the deadline, the licence will cesse to be active and you will have again have to pay the activation fee to reactivate it. The leasing fee for only one software is $300, it is $550 for two software, $750 for three software and $900 for four software. For five software and more, the annual leasing cost is $200 per software. This allows you access to the updates as well as technical assistance.
You can download the demo version of the software directly on our web site. Contact us by email of by phone to give your order. We will then send you an intallation CD with the required dongles. The dongles can activate the software installed as demo as well as from the CD. For the consignments outside of Canada, a shipping fee of $50 by consignment will be applied.
The Abc division of the Xyz company has already acquired one licence of GeoticLog on a local dongle ($2000 + $300 + $120 = $2425). It now wishes to acquire a network dongle with one licence of GeoticLog and one of GeoticGraph. It will thus cost it $4600:
